## Description Judicial Clerks joining Jones Day have the opportunity to be part of a Firm that has repeatedly earned high rankings for client service by the BTI Consulting Group. Judicial Clerks are welcome to submit applications at any time. Jones Day values the knowledge and experience judicial clerks gain from working closely with judges and justices and observing judicial proceedings. Many of our summer associates do clerkships before returning to Jones Day, and we actively seek to hire other judicial clerks. More than 300 of our lawyers have served as clerks in federal or state trial and appellate courts. Incoming clerks generally begin their careers at Jones Day in the New Lawyers Group, which allows them the freedom to explore various Firm practices before committing to one. Generally, judicial clerks joining Jones Day directly from a federal court clerkship receive a competitive bonus, reflecting the value the Firm places on the clerkship experience. ## Missions Judicial clerks gain experience working closely with judges and observing judicial proceedings.
